Kite Runner - Good book. Sad. Depressing. But written well. Captivating.
Horrible movie. Lost any of the magic that the book had. Was a bore.
In other words... read the book. don't watch the movie.
Into the Wild - Great book. Quick read, but gets ya thinking. Causes you to put yourself into Christopher McCandless' shoes. Very intriguing.
Beautiful movie. Captures what the book captures. Enjoyable story,
even worth watching for the gorgeous scenery.
In other words... read the book AND watch the movie.

I need to start reading again. Usually by the time the kiddos are in bed I'm ready to wash up for bed and watch a little bit of tv with rory. Lately we've been into the new season of deadliest catch. I really should be reading instead of watching tv though.
