Choices
Why do we have to have so many choices in life? I was just thinking about how I have trouble with choices. Even in small things... What do I want for dinner? What will I pack for lunch? White or Wheat? Latte or Mocha? I've come accustomed to just making those choices without thinking too hard. But then the BIG choices about my life and my future - those choices torture me. I like all my choices that are available when it comes to my life/future... I wish I could do them all in be in more than one place at once - but no - we were created to live a life of choices. It is God's good pleasure to allow us to choose, Because He loves us like that. Granted there are times when you know there is one choice and God has one path for you... but with my experience it is more about choices. About more than one path... What will we choose? What will I choose?
Webster defines Choice: The act of choosing; selection. The power, right, or liberty to choose; option.
Those are good things: Power, right, or liberty to choose: But I guess I am learning about how to embrace that - learning how to make BIG decisions when I feel like God is giving me the power, right, and liberty to choose.... What will I choose?
Does anyone have any opinion on such a thing?

tonight I chose to eat curly fries from Arby's and now I feel horrible. At the time it seemed like a good choice, but after the fact I realized how so wrong I was. so, i guess maybe we shouldn't make choices on an empty stomach
yes, i have heard this advice before... so no choices on an empty stomach! But I rarely have an empty stomach, I always choose to eat too much.
Do you remember those A-FARTS commercials where they would say don't shop when you are hungry?
Some people say that the choices you make are a sum of your past experiences. Whether I choose to go right or left, I choose the way I go due to something in the past that has conditioned me to choose that way. But then, is it really a choice? And if your path is laid out for you, is it really a choice? Are there really any choices? Do you look at the moment or do you look at the big picture? Your perspective will give you a different answer.
