Kids

So, there is this 4th grader at school today who decided not to listen to me. She said "no, I don't have to listen to you and I choose not to." I tried to talk to her about it and there was no reasoning with her. I threatened to send her to the office and she replied, "no, I'm not going to the office." So, I asked this child why she wouldn't listen to me and she said, "well, miss sara, I had a very profound revelation just a few minutes ago." "oh, whats that?" I asked. "I don't have to listen to a word you say or any other teacher, I only listen to God." I responded... "Very interesting, cause in the Bible, God tells us to listen to those in authority over us" But this 4th grader wasn't believing me. We ended up working out our differences and she finally decided she needed to listen to me after a not so fun trip to the office. Where do kids come up with this type of stuff????

Kids do say the craziest things. Yesterday, Colleen got in trouble for turning the chapstick tube all the way out and breaking it. She knows not to twist it out, so she got scolded about wasting things. 5 minutes later she wouldn't talk to me and I tried talking to her. She finally blurted out "mommy, you ruined valentine's day when you took my chapstick away."
