Pumpkin from scratch
This weekend my friend Gina and I decided to make a pumpkin pie from scratch. This was quite the adventure for us, considering the fact that we didn't know where to start. We contemplated over a cup of coffee "which part of the pumpkin do you even use?" (yeah, i felt pretty dumb) You should have seen us in the kitchen... well, I was probably the most humorous to watch. After some trial and error we ended up with something that actually looked like a pumpkin pie and tasted like a pumpkin pie. I was very proud of us... pumpkin pie from scratch. Way to go Gina and Sara! :)

was it good?
At least you didn't drop it this time. You haven't had a the greatest history with pies. It looks like you've overcome your fear of repeating the coconut cream incident. I'm proud of you! Facing your fears. Excellent!!!
but I still will never make a coconut cream pie again.
yes, was the pie better than store bought pie? was it worth the excruciating digging of that icky body-like inside of the pumpkin? do tell.
It was an adventure to watch. I liked the pumpkin seeds.
i do have to say it was good, and i don't really like pumpkin pie. good job.
melissa, I would def. say, "it was worth it." :)
