The Shack

Although this book got mixed reviews, I have grown to be rather fond of it. I went through a variety of emotions while reading it... love it, hate it, love it, hate it... but my final overall conclusion is that I reallllllllllly liked it! Although, there maybe some theological views that I disagree with, put all that aside, I got a lot out of this book... Pick it up - see for yourself....what will your finally conclusion be? Just remember reading is like eating chicken, you throw out the bad stuff and keep the good meat - we can't be foolish and throw out the whole chicken... :)

The Road

I thought this was an enjoyable read... A story of a boy and his father trying to survive when there isn't much left of the world. Everyone who is still alive is tainted and bitter by the way things are now compared to what they once were. They only look after themselves no matter what it cost others...The boy in this story, however, never knew the world as it once was, therefore doesn't have experiences or comparisons to taint or smother his love, concern, and compassion for others.
