Kite Runner - Good book. Sad. Depressing. But written well. Captivating.

Horrible movie. Lost any of the magic that the book had. Was a bore.

In other words... read the book. don't watch the movie.


Into the Wild - Great book. Quick read, but gets ya thinking. Causes you to put yourself into Christopher McCandless' shoes. Very intriguing.

Beautiful movie. Captures what the book captures. Enjoyable story,
even worth watching for the gorgeous scenery.

Hot.

It got way too hot here way too fast. Was 91 today. a couple of days ago it was in the 70s. what happened to the gradual incline? I don't do well in the heat. It makes me lethargic and makes me feel sick. I also don't want to eat when its so hot outside. My body pretty much hates it. I'm going to be the opposite of a snowbird when I get old... I'm going to be a HotBird. I will flock to cold weather climates during the heat of the summer. And I will live in Pocatello and enjoy the cold winter, always praying for it to be a long one. Yes. thats me. A Hotbird. Flockin' to the snow covered mountains... I don't have a "tropical" dream vacation. No way, send me to the chilly mountains. I don't like laying on a beach. No way, I'd rather jump into a freezing mountain lake. Sunbathing? No way, I cover up my flesh to protect it from the sun.
