Visiting Parents.

I'm out east visiting my parents. We've had a lot of fun so far. We've seen Santa, went to a hockey game, and went ice skating. Here is something I've found somewhat bothersome this trip...My dog Chancie usually hates cats. I've learned this visit that his best friend across the street..... is a cat! Its really funny... he loves that cat so much. He stands out in the front yard and looks for Sanders and waits for him, then they meet halfway (in the middle of the street) and touch noses and say hi. Its really funny. I'm not sure how he can like a cat so much, but he does. I'll get over, I guess. He can like the cat. I will continue to dislike cats!!!

Kids

So, the other day at work I had two 2nd graders who were on the playground complaining to me that they were bored and had no one to play with. I suggested that they play with each other. That wasn't an acceptable idea cause one was a girl and one was a boy and for the most part boys and girls dont play together in 2nd grade. ;)

After that failed idea, I suggested that they go think together and answer a question for me. I asked them to go solve the problem of world peace. How can we attain world peace in our lifetime? I was expecting them to look at me and say "huh?" or give me a "thats a ridiculous idea" look. But they didn't. They looked at me, looked at each other, shrugged their shoulders and said "ok."

So, they took off together and in less than 2 minutes they were back. "Miss Sara, we answered your question. We solved the problem of world peace."
"oh did you?" I asked. "What would that be?" expecting some nonsense answer (I know - shame on me... kids are smarter than we think)
Their response:
"There will be peace when Jesus comes back and touches the world."

I told them they were brilliant! And after putting their heads together and solving all the world's problems, they were now ok with running off and playing with each other.
