Energy Bar Ramblings

I ate an energy bar that claims to be "THE Nutritious Energy Bar with the Memorable Candy Bar Taste." ummmmm.... this particular energy bar did not meet up to the standards it claimed to be.
Many things in life don't meet up to what they claim to be. I've watched movies that claim to be the best movie of the year... disappointment. Coffee shops that claim to be the best coffee in town..... disappointment. Crappy customer service that claims to put customer service first... disapponitment. Frozen cheese sticks that claim to be JUST like the cheese sticks from TGI Fridays.... disappointment.
I've been noticing lately that there are many things in life that "claim" to be something they aren't - something they can't measure up to. I don't want to ever be that way - I don't want to ever claim to be something that I can't measure up to that would cause nothing but disappointment to those around me. k- those are my deep thoughts for the day that stemmed from my energy bar.

Peach Rings in the wrong places

So, I was enjoying some yummy sugarrry peach rings when my friend made me laugh reallly hard and a peach ring chunk went from my throat up to my nose. Have you ever experienced that burning sensation. I couldn't get it to go away! It hurt so bad!Then about 20 minutes later I blew my nose and this thick sugar peach snot came out. It was rather disgusting and painful. Then a few minutes after that I got that feeling you get when there might be a booger hangin out of your nose, so I wiped my nose and guess what was there... a pretty decent size chunk of peach ring cliff-hangin' out my nose. GROSS! Never eat peach rings when laughing.

The Weekend

This weekend I went to a conference/retreat thing in utah. It was a ton of fun. We were kind of "roughin' it" in the woods and froze our butts off the first night and didn't shower that whole weekend. But thats part of the fun, right? we ate krispy creme on the way home "yum!", and got to see the beautiful scenery of Utah and Idaho... I think it is a georgous place! I couldn't stop taking pictures!....
...and probably the best part of it all was making friends with the cutest old ladies in the world that were amazingly FUN to be around. My favortie was Lily who in the picture above is talkin' to Adriane... we had a hat making contest and they are modeling their hats. I want to bring Lily home with me and adopt her as my live in grandma.
anyways... probably the bestest part of all was being able to laugh and hangout with adriane... I love that girl! thanks for eatin' donuts with me, and a whole box of cookies, and baked cheetos! you're the best...

I just think its funny...

Beds

I am moving in a few weeks. I decided that instead of moving my current bed into my new place that I would just get a new bed. You see, my bed is small... and it is really squeeky... and there are these springs in the matress that poke into my back every night. I decided that I would invest in a new bed. Maybe I will sleep better and be more rested with a new bed. I can't afford a new bed, but I thought i'd credit card one... that it was a worthwhile investment. I also feel that if I get a bigger bed (atleast a full) I would feel more grown up. For 27 years now I have slept in small small beds.
Any advice in where to get a good bed?
