Christmas Yeah!

Hey - well, our Christmas Eve party was a success. We laughed so hard none of us could breathe... We decided that it wasn't the martini's that my family loved - it was the olives in the martini's! So no martini's this year, just 3 full jars of olives: garlic stuffed olives, jalapeno stuffed, and fetta stuffed olives. After my mom had one too many olives she blurted out: "OLIVE YOU GUYS!" My family is MUCHO FUN, in my opinion. The girls beat the boys twice at the game Tribond... and the cheesball snowman was a HUGE success! Christmas morning was fun with the little Colleen and all is well. Colleen decorated a Christmas cake and is now settled down for a Christmas nap and Rory is snoring on the floor.

Christmas Eve (Saturday)

It is Christmas Eve. I just returned from the Christmas Even candle light service... it was fun. Colleen, my niece, was way cute during church! She had a kleenex and kept wanting to blow everyones nose. CUTE! ! !
But tonight is the traditional Christmas eve party: My mom and I started the party by singin' "lets get this party started in here" and dancing in the kitchen. The traditional Christmas eve party consists of Its a Wonderful Life, Egg Nog, CheeseBall & Other FUN! If you want to know more about our cheeseball check out my sister's blog: http://janelnc.blogspot.com
HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE TO ALL! ! !

Christmas Eve Eve Eve (Thursday)

Yesterday consisted of the family dancing in the kitchen to some music, then later that evening the family dancin' to Alvin & the Chipmonks Christmas in the livingroom... -- then my sister and I trying to convince my dad that Mr. Ed was NOT a Zebra. He says yes he was, I say no way, "He was a Horse of course." but I still think my dad thinks he was a zebra -- I don't know why he thinks such a thing. Is there anyone out there that would join him in saying that Mr. Ed was a zebra?

"Fun Socks"

Today my sister and I went to do last minute Christmas shopping, you know, stocking stuffers and the like. It was a CRAZY day out.... it made me absolutely tired. But I got a gingerbread latte from starbucks and that made it all the better. Also, this guy made it all the better... No, I didn't run into a hunk who is single and wants to Marry me.... just a confused guy with a funny question. My sister and I were walking down the isle at Target and this man approaches us... "excuse me, I have a question, maybe you can help me. My wife made a list here for me and on it she has socks, (so confused he says) but is says here socks slash fun... what does that mean?" I thought FUN SOCKS -- My sister and I pointed him to the direction of the FUN SOCKS in Target. (I could have just pointed him to the direction of Fawn's sock drawer)

Christmas in N.C. STATE

I'm in North Carolina! I will spend Christmas here with my sister, and her husband Rory, and baby Colleen, my parents, and the dogs, patch, bandit, and chance. It is warm here compared to Idaho. My travels went well - strangers always treat me like I'm 16 though...but I'm used to it. Starbucks ginerbread lattes are great. I love vacations!

FRIDAY

It is FRIDAY! There is just a "feeling" to Fridays that I love! Makes me wanna sing and dance... I was singing in the car and I looked over to the car next to me and there was an older couple laughing at me. I was so glad that I brought them joy and gave them something to laugh about. :) The dry cleaner lady was sooo nice to me today. I needed a coat drycleaned (it had melted carmel and chocolate in the pocket... opppps, thats Fawn's fault) before monday because I am leaving on monday, unfortunately they are swamped and couldn't get my coat done till Tuesday. As I was just about to sadly leave, she said nevermind and that she'll get it done before 2:00 tomorrow. I love her. Anyone in Pocatello need to get things dry cleaned... go to Proffessional Drycleaners next to Changs Garden! They Rock! I think I will go to Ace Hardware today, I am having withdrawl!

Choices

Why do we have to have so many choices in life? I was just thinking about how I have trouble with choices. Even in small things... What do I want for dinner? What will I pack for lunch? White or Wheat? Latte or Mocha? I've come accustomed to just making those choices without thinking too hard. But then the BIG choices about my life and my future - those choices torture me. I like all my choices that are available when it comes to my life/future... I wish I could do them all in be in more than one place at once - but no - we were created to live a life of choices. It is God's good pleasure to allow us to choose, Because He loves us like that. Granted there are times when you know there is one choice and God has one path for you... but with my experience it is more about choices. About more than one path... What will we choose? What will I choose?
Webster defines Choice: The act of choosing; selection. The power, right, or liberty to choose; option.
Those are good things: Power, right, or liberty to choose: But I guess I am learning about how to embrace that - learning how to make BIG decisions when I feel like God is giving me the power, right, and liberty to choose.... What will I choose?
Does anyone have any opinion on such a thing?

Where'd the weekend go?

It is Monday- The weekends go by way too fast, I'm tellin' ya.
Where did my weekend go? 2 questions I often ask, Where'd all my money go? Where'd the weekend go?
Well, Friday night I had this Christmas dinner to go to where I got caught putting a spoon on my nose - I was bored, put a spoon on my nose so my boss Paul could take a picture of me on his camera phone. Right at that split second they called my name in recognition of something, I really don't know what, and everyone looked at me and I had a spoon on my nose. After my dinner I reverted back to my Junior High days (or maybe that happened during the dinner) and went roller skating. That was great fun.
Saturday I actually got up and worked out - but the lady working at the gym was much too excited and high squeeky-talking the whole time, just annoyed me. I walked in and she yelled "Good morning, Sunshine." I was ready to turn around and go back to bed. It was Sacred Sleep Saturday - what was I thinking going to the gym that morning?
I then spent some time with my sick roommate at the Immediate physician care place - She's feeling better now: she's on antibiotics. So she could go to work today because of drugs - otherwise she'd be at home in bed. Saturday night I went to a basketball game and watched ISU win in overtime. It was exciting. Sunday I went to Church and to lunch (that always takes up half the day)then me a a couple friends went shopping. I hate shopping, but this time it was quite enjoyable, maybe it was because of the company. Oh, and by the way I went back to Ace Hardware. I LOVE THAT PLACE!

Day 2

Day two of my new blog... I'm on a roll here....
It is the first day of December and it is SNOWING. I like the snow - I don't like that Pocatello doesn't plow the roads. I live up a hill that really needs to be plowed! But I will try to not complain about that anymore, but no promises.
Well, I wanted to let everyone know about my new addiction: Ace Hardware. I am discovering that I love that store. I've been there twice this week. It isn't a huge store, but I spent atleast 45 minutes in it last night. They have so many fun gagets, like the key chain that turns into a backpack! WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF SUCH A THING - I had to buy it. The cute little pink tool kit that was 50% off, I had to buy it. My purpose of going was to get an ice scraper - they're out till Saturday. I have to tell you, I'm not disappointed that I have to return to Ace Hardware on Saturday to get an ice scraper. 3 times in one week isn't bad, right?
My Dog Makes Me Sad: It was such a sad thing this morning when I had to leave the house. I went to go clean the snow off my car windows and Sadie Moose came out with me --- when it was time to take her back inside so that I could leave, she layed down next to my car and refusing to move she gave me the look "I'm going with you and I refuse to do anything else." It was such a sad look and a painful departure for me this morning. Sadie was so sad that I had to leave her... I ended up having to bribe her into the house with many goodies. I love my dog and my dog loves me. What more do you need in life?
